Dr. Erich Alexander Dittmar was raised in Milford, Michigan and graduated from Milford High School in 1986. He obtained a B.S. in Biology from the University of Michigan in 1990 and then attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, obtaining his D.D.S. in 1994. Dr. Dittmar then completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor. Dr. Dittmar obtained his endodontic specialty training and Masters of Science in Dentistry from Indiana University School of Dentistry, Graduate Endodontic Department.
Dr. Dittmar has been a clinical instructor at both the University of Michigan and Indiana University. He has served as secretary, vice-president, and president of the Livingston District Dental Society in addition to serving on various committees. He has also presented his research on digital image compression at various venues.
Dr. Dittmar’s awards and achievements include the University of Michigan’s Comprehensive Care Award, membership in Omicron …Kappa Upsilon (the dental national honors society), and Indiana University’s Graduate Research Fellowship.
