Dr. Erick Bothun, MD

He saw me in the U of Mn Thyroid Eye disease clinic which was very hard to get into (they only schedule it 1 day a month). But once in - it was the absolute solution to my eye disease (keratoconus and Graves). He did strabismus surgery on both eyes at once and corrected the problem that my original eye doctors even admitted they could not handle! Highly recommend this Dr. So if you have Graves disease, try to get a referral to the monthly Thyroid Eye clinic at the U of Mn. adn you will see this doctor and 2 others, each treating a special part of the condition.

We have been seeing Dr. Erick Bothun since my son Quinn was 2 weeks old. He has wonderful bedside manner and he explains EVERYTHING he is doing...never feel rushed he answers ALL of our Questions he is a fantastic Doctor and recommend him to everyone! Would give way more then 4 stars in every field thank you for everything

It can take some time to get an appointment and sometimes appointments are late. BUT Dr. Bothun is amazing and I would NEVER trust another doctor with their eye care. He did perform a successful surgery on one of our children. He is very good with kids!! They love Dr. Bothun! We do too! He is the best ophthalmologist in MN!

My experience with Dr. Bothun has been wonderful. I found him to be a knowledgable, caring, and personable doctor. He went over all the details of my son's options in language that I could understand. There was a minor problem beyond Dr Bothun's control the morning of my son's surgery and I was touched by the amount of concern he showed about the whole situation. Dr Bothun made me feel like the outcome of my son's surgery was important to him and this wasn't just his "job". The results of the surgery were great. Overall, my whole experience with Dr Bothun was that I never felt like a "number" as I do with most doctors. He treated me and my family with a great deal of compassion and sensitivity. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a good pediatric opthomologist.
