Dr. Erik D Cantrell

After a lot of research on where to go for an ADHD evaluation, I decided Centerway was the best option. Many prior reviews mentioned this condition and an improvement. I wholeheartedly agree. I am getting so much more completed at work, my performance report was near perfect. They are truly good at helping those who struggle with ADHD.

He was cool, saw him at the downtown location. He changed my ADHD meds, they are working better. Also the office was easy to get to, they validated parking, which was also nice.

Dr. Cantrell has been very helpful, I've been with his clinic for several years, and I'm doing a lot better these days.

If I could give zero stars, I would. As an ER nurse, I understand mental health care and what patient-centered treatment looks like. What I experienced at this clinic under Dr. Eric Cantrell’s care was dismissive, rigid, and deeply discouraging. I came in struggling with severe anxiety, insomnia, and side effects from a new prescription. Instead of receiving support, I was told that my symptoms weren’t valid and that what I was feeling “wasn’t real.” No exploration, no real dialogue — just cold dismissal. The clinical approach here is textbook-only, with little flexibility or personalized care. It felt more like being judged than helped. Unfortunately, because Dr. Cantrell oversees this clinic, it’s clear this attitude affects the whole practice. If you’re looking for compassionate care that treats you like an individual — this isn’t it. I left feeling worse than when I came in.

I finally found a doctor that really understands ADHD, he started by helping with my sleep and anxiety, then started treatment. I was a great approach

It was outstanding, Dr. Cantrell listened to everything I was concerned about. I finally feel like I have hope for the future.

Great doctors office..Staff is very welcoming and friendly and their main priority is taking care of their patients needs. It is easy to see they care about their patients and appointments are quick and easy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a doctor.

Centerway Psychiatry has to be the best mental health provider I have ever seen. Dr Cantrell , Carla and the entire staff are such a pleasure to work with. The web site has information every person should read. You will learn so much. As far as patient treatment there’s a no judgement. Open and caring. Never late for the scheduled appointment. The providers know you and your issues.

STAY AWAY FROM ERIK CANTRELL. He is condescending, extremely unprofessional, and rude. He should not be allowed to treat patients since he is all-knowing and all-seeing and does not trust that you know your body better than he does, although he never met you before. He also asked me to tell him which medication I wanted, rather than being thoughtful about medical history or drug interactions. Should not be certified to give medical advice.
