My mother and I went for a checkup on her Crohn’s disease, during the checkup he told my mother that she should tell my father to get a new job because he can’t afford the insurance his job offers him right now. My mother went for a checkup, not a lecture on her husband’s job. He also told her that she might not have Crohn’s disease after all/it might not be active anymore and that she might just have an infection in her intestines. He made her feel as if her disease was all in her head, which it clearly is not.

I was dx'd over 30 years ago and and I've moved a few times since then but never have I ever been made to feel that my disease is psychological. I've had 3 surgeries and been on every medication out there trying to get into remission. According to Dr De Jonghe, I have no active disease and he will not treat me even tho I'm in pain and explained that to him. He even had the gall to ask what kind of Dr dx'd me and his credentials. I wish I were back with my original gastro. He at least treated me like a human being not a nut case. I will be consulting a different Dr for my symptoms and care.

Dr De Jonghe is a very kind, caring doctor who is more than capable of explaining all aspects of my diagnosis. He even drew a picture to make sure that all my questions were answered. Absolutely amazing.

I appreciated his attention to my peculiar case, his follow through after recommending I see a surgeon and his overall kindness in dealing with me.

This doctor is really not in tune with his patients, he was in a hurry and didn't take time to discuss my procedure with me. He left the surgery center without discussing my health concerns.
