If you are looking for a provider with communication skills, this provider is not what you are looking for. Communication is poor at best. Provider demeanor is short, with no compassion. Not looking for a best friend but I believe communication and making a patient feel comfortable to talk about an issue they are having is important. Results for tests are not discussed by the provider, office staff calls you and if questions are asked they are likely not able to answer.

The nurse came in and took notes of the multiple issues I was having. I asked about a referral to an endocrine specialist to possibly help with the hormone, GI, sleep, etc.. problems I was having and she proceeded to tell me that an endocrinologist doesn't deal with female hormones!!!(I am currently using estrogen/progesterone cream) what?? She said I should just go to a gyno. umm I have but I don't know if I am taking enough or needed testosterone too so I wanted to see a specialist. Then before she left I told her that my eye has been twitching a lot lately as well (neck and upper back pain was one of my complaints as well) and she said oh I don't wear glasses!!!! what??? why would that cause eye twitching???? I got xrays that day (12th) and called on the 15th and the lady argued with me and told me that someone called on the 13th, and I told her they had not because I checked both phones and voice mail. She then told me they only call with results on wed and fri and I said "so I… have to wait until next wed?" No one called that day and now its Monday and I just called the imaging place and they said they called with the report the same day I got them done!!!!! No one has called still!!! oh and I told Dr. Furman I get anxiety and do not like to take pills in general because I have a stronger reaction and he prescribed a high dose muscle relaxer! I took just a sliver of the pill that night and was up for 3 hours because I felt really weird and had anxiety. Will never go to this physician again!

The office smelled like stale cigarettes, Dr didn't say much.

This is an okay place as long as you don't ask for anything. The staff is bothered by any requests, so if you need something called into your pharmacy, etc., I would try a different clinic.

Dr. Furman has been taking care of me and my family for several years, and we all appreciate his professionalism as well as his caring and kind personality. I have made recommenmdations to several friends and family concerning using Dr. Furman as their doctor also!
