Approachable, definitive diagnosis

I had a hiking injury and Dr. Larsen took care of the problem, spoke of the area where I got injured and took the time to ask about other health issues and my treatments for them. This is all after their closing time.

I had the good fortune to be seen by this gentleman on a recent visit to the ER at WPH. Unusually competent and caring, he spent plenty of time examining me and listening to my complaints. He spoke to me as one intelligent human being to another. He ran the necessary tests, diagnosed and treated me and explained what I needed to do.To my surprise, he called me at home a couple of days later to check on my progress. That is rare!

Last night I went into the ER due to problems that occured during my 7th week of pregnancy. I went into the hospital not knowing what what going on with me. Dr. Larsen was absolutely wonderful, he couldn't have been more caring. He was extremely professional. He explained everything to me and he gave me a lot of hope that I was going to be ok. He gave me all the attention that I needed. He took his time with me and he answered all the questions and concerns that I had. He was very honest with me the whole night. I wish he could be my regular OB. I'm going to recommend him to all of my friends/family. I Hope if and when I do go back to the ER I have him as a doctor.

Dr. Larsen treated my 94 year old father's broken wrist. He was amazing. Not only was he efficient, professional and kind, he made a point of teaching the nurse as he went. He came in specially to help out in the White Plains ER (also a great place overall)even though he wasn't on duty. Simply the best.
