Dr. Erik Nilssen, Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, is the only person to have completed fellowships in both Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle at the American Sports Medicine Institute under the direction of Dr. James R. Andrews.
In addition to treating injuries and conditions of the foot and ankle, Dr. Nilssen specializes in Orthopaedic Occupational Health, which includes the evaluation and treatment of worker’s compensation injuries.
He believes that patients injured on the job should have access to the full continuum of orthopaedic care, from the initial drug screening and assessment to surgical intervention to physical therapy if needed.

First visit with Dr. Nissan & I was incredibly impressed from introduction to good bye. Two previous doctors recommended surgery & I wasn't ready at the time, but after several months of more pain, I went to this visit prepared to say yes. Dr Nilssen recommended PT and felt like if I worked hard at PT, it would correct the pain issue. He is the 1st doctor to prescribe PT. Highly recommend Dr. Nilssen... I felt like he was more interested in the care & recovery of the patient and not running up a bill for a procedure not required.

It was my first visit and I was very impressed. I called yesterday regarding possible Achilles tendon rupture. The front desk staff was professional and kind. Arrived today and had zero wait time. Taken for xray and right to a room. Dr. Nilssen came in assessed the situation and recommended surgery. Was in and out in 30 minutes - unbelievable!

I visited the office for the second time today, and had just as wonderful of an experience as I had the first, the office staff is happy and friendly and so helpful and the doctor is patient and kind and very thorough in responding to any questions

I highly recommend Dr. Nilssen. What I like most is the way he talks to me a language I understand. Step by step he explains everything in great detail. His staff is amazing, very y friendly.

I’m on my 4th week post op bunion surgery and everthing from the moment I came out of surgery to my post op appointment have been amazing. Justin is great at explaining everthing at every appointment and treats you with such great care! Everyone here actually cares about your well being and you never feel rushed or ignored. I’m so happy I moved forward with my surgery with Dr. Nilssen

It was my first appointment with Dr. Nilssen and he explained in detail everything about my upcoming surgery . I came to him after having to find a new doctor due to mine sadly relocating but I have no doubt that I’m in good hands. The staff at his office is always very friendly! I’m very happy finding Dr. Nilssen!

Im just 4 days out from surgery but so far its been a very pleasant experience. Evan was extremely attentive and responded to my phone calls promply and was vert helpful. Dr. Nillsen was very pleasant and informative.
