Have had the same physician for 5 years and I'm pleased with the care provided

I have never had a true one on one with Dr Sather as he always has a student/intern. He does an excellent job, o bet UT would be better if he didn't have someone tagging along. People need to learn and if he is a good instructor/mentor so be it.

He was very informed about my knee injury. It was the help I needed.

Most memorable is that he takes plenty of time to listen to me, takes a detailed medical history & exam, and spends extra time explaining to me what my complaints & any tests mean, what disorders I have, and the best ways to cure me. I most highly recommend him to any individual or family looking for one-of-a-kind most caring and knowledgable doc who impressively goes that extra mile for all his patients that I know.

Dr Sather is well versed on my diagnoses and history when he sees me. He listens to my opening remarks, asks questions, follows tangential remarks when appropriate, feeds back his understanding of the problem, and explains my options. He spends time with me, makes sure I understand his explanations, and reminds me of follow-up testing. Dr. Sather's clinic has polite receptionists, competent nurses, and in-house diagnostic resources. His clinic reminds me by phone before appointments and emails me lab results or other messages.

As a woman, I've never preferred a woman doctor over a man necessarily. I had to refill a birth control perscription and booked an appointment with the first doctor I could- Dr. Sather. It wound up that I was due for my first pap smear. I have no doubt that Dr Sather did the job properly- but he couldn't have given off more of an 'I really don't want to do this vibe.' I wouldn't recommend Dr Sather to anyone- but especially not to women.
