Best dental experience in 25 years , staff kept me informed not a bit of pain and root canal went smooth

I was very disappointed with my visit to Dr. Singer. I had some tooth discomfort and my dentist did an x-ray that looked like possible infection and he was going to send me to an endodontists. I informed him Dr. Singer did the previous root canal on this tooth so I was surprised something was wrong. It took 1 1/2 hours of waiting and x-rays while Dr. Singer was working on other patients. I was getting very concerned as they looked like they wee prepping me for a root canal without any information. I asked and the assistant told me she couldn't tell me. I took a break and was definitely ready to walk and should have. I told them I had things to do and my Mom's caregiver would be leaving. They informed the doctor who than said it would take 45 minutes and yes I should have walked. 45 minutes for $1800 is unbelievable and I should not have stayed and incurred not only the cost but the pain that followed and a week later still bothering me. I regret going to him and staying. I called the… next day to say I was in pain and the doctor said I was probably coming down with something and should see my primary. I rec'd no paperwork when I left as this is one of the biggest mistakes I have made. I should have known better and not be talked into something I did not want that day and should have consulted further with someone else. I regret not having insurance as they want their money up front. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Dr Singer saw me as a referral on the same day that my dentist determined an old crown could not simply be replaced. When he removed it he immediately noticed that decay (hidden underneath the crown) was too great and I needed a root canal before he could proceed. The urgency to get all this all wrapped up quickly was necessitated by my leaving on a five week overseas business trip in three days. Dr Singer squeezed me in between patients and was thorough, personable, and obviously professionally competent when he performed my root canal. I cannot extol the virtues of this dental professional enough. And being the recipient of at least six root canals over my 63 years, I have a large sample size on which to base this statement. If I never need additional endodontal work done I will be calling Dr. Singer. And as an aside, his office staff and chair side assistant were every bit as competent and professional. Than you all.

Dr. Singer and his staff were pleasant and professional during the root canal appointment. He and his staff made me feel comfortable during the procedure. Dr. Singer thanked me for being such a good patient and called the next morning to ask about any discomfort.
