Dr. Erik Skatvold
Dr. Erik Skatvold attended Gustavus Adolphus College and Concordia College before entering dental school. He earned his DDS at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2000. After graduation, Dr. Skatvold served in the US Navy for four years, where he earned his AEGD (advanced education in general dentistry) certificate from Naval Dental Center in Norfolk, VA. He was then privileged to take an assignment to Keflavik, Iceland for three years as a staff dentist for the naval base.
Upon completion of his tour in the Navy, Dr. Skatvold returned to his hometown of Moorhead, MN and purchased the practice of Dr. Bill Kranzler in 2005. Dr. Skatvold maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, and Northwestern Minnesota Dental District. He and his wife, Karina, have one son and two dogs. In his free time, Dr. Skatvold enjoys spending time at the lake, golfing, snowmobiling, and hanging out with his family.
