Dr. Erik Nelson Stene, MD

Dr. Stene has been a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota since 1987. He works at both the Minneapolis and Minnetonka campuses. Dr. Stene graduated from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. He also completed a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at The Children's Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Stene served for 16 years as Medical Director of Anesthesia and also served as the Chief of the Anesthesia, Surgery and Pathology Division. He has special interests in the areas of pediatric regional anesthesia, ultrasound applications in anesthesia, pediatric cardiac anesthesia, operating room management and the St. Louis Cardinals. Dr. Stene is married and has three daughters.
