Dr. Erik Dean Swenson, MD

After being treated for many years by Dr. Finnan I was forced to see Dr. Swenson because Dr. Finnan retired. My arthritis and osteoporosis kept getting worse. His new treatment not only wasn't helping but I got worse. He had me on many vicodin aday. Then on a scheduled appt he could see I was in a lot of pain. He asked if I had taken my prescribed amount of vicodin. I told him I had not because between my husband's surgery for cancer and my daughters recent masectomy I was doing too much driving in cities I didn't know. I didn't think I could be a responsible driver. He proceeded to tell me I would have to take a drug test. He knew I would not pass it and I layer received a letter telling me I would no longer get drugs from him or any other Mercy Dr. My primary thought it was responsible treatment and sent me to iowa ortho. I'm back on my medication and doing well. Plus I found out my current treatment wasn't working at all. I would think twice before seeing the Dr. If I were you.
