Dr. Erik Michael Unger

Trust the recent comment about the Arizona dental board taking his license. I am one of the many dentists in Arizona that has been left with the countless messes to clean up. And know that a handful of patients I have seen cannot be fixed. Implant disasters , horrible records , dental principles not followed , and some of the worst fixed hybrids I have seen in 25 years. His license was taken in Arizona and he didn’t even give the multiple patients that showed up to tell their stories (crying) the courtesy of showing up himself. This guy does not know what he is doing , if you have any questions just contact the Arizona state dental board. This guy is a danger to any patient he touches.

Where do I begin....most of these reviews must be fake I bet. He has had at least 6 cases iwith the dental board in aAz just the last 2 years. Dr Unger ruined my life., and many others as I heard tfrom some if the board hearings. That's why he moved to Minnesota. Just look how many offices he's been at. That says volumes. Please, please do yourself a favor and run as fast as you can from Dr. Unger if you want to enjoy eating, smiling, anything ever again.

14 months since my 8 implants and still not completed. Paid in full $10,000 first day. Missing records and x-rays. Changes many appoint days. Does not return patient telephone calls. Has smart-aleck attitude. Closes dental offices without informing patient of his whereabouts (twice). I regret having this person as my Dentist!

I am on coumadin and he worked with my doctor as to how i should stop and start the medication. He was very gentle and didn't talk down to me as some dentists are prone to do. Very compassionate and caring. Made sure i felt a minimum of pain during the procedures and afterward. He has taken out several of my teeth in prior years and now i am returning to have the rest removed.

I have never before had this type of procedure nor do I know anyone who has but I was referred to this Dr. after being told the procedure required to repair my damage from an assault would require a maxio-facial surgeon and a bone implant in my top gum of the front of my mouth. I made an appointment and received 4+ appointments for anesthetic surgical procedures where I was worked on while under anesthesia. Prior to these oral operations I was discontent with my appearance, once the bruising and stitches in my face no longer were present I was insecure with not having teeth and eating was made difficult as I could not bite down with my front teeth. I was missing 3 teeth and the bone which had held them into place prior to the assault in 2015. He successfully implanted the bone in my mouth and secured the necessary steps to implanting new teeth which were done by another dentist from Gentle Dental. I am satisfied and was comforted throughout my time as a patient of Dr. Unger which I was… nervous to complete but satisfied with the work done and the overall results of his services and hospitality. As a victim of a violent crime I did not deserve the harm caused to me but was grateful to have received support in recovery of a girl who once was.

Dr. Erik Unger is far and away the best dentist I've ever had. He's kind, caring, patient, and most importantly, great at what he does. I had 8 teeth extracted and 6 implants placed along with an immediate denture. After waking up from the surgery I felt no pain and was only slightly sore the next day after eating. I've been to over a dozen dentists and Dr. Unger is in a league of his own..
