Dr. Erika Lynn Deraleau, MD

I did not have a positive experience working with Doctor Deraleau. I found it difficult to hear back from her, occasionally having to follow up in order to receive a response. In the year that worked with her, we made insignificant progress towards a cure and she was unable to identify the root cause of the problem. Upon switching to another specialist, they were able to diagnose and prescribe a treatment plan after one visit. I am saddened that it took so long to start recovering, dealing with unnecessary chronic pain for nearly 2 years. I saw Dr. Deraleau for almost a year and made poor progress towards healing during that time.

Genuinely one of the best experiences I have ever had with a doctor. She was so kind, understanding, willing to answer any and all questions, and really walked me through every step of the treatment process and all of the treatment options available to me. I wish every doctor was like her, to this day I look back at our patient-doctor relationship as the ideal sort of relationship I would like to have with all medical professionals I come into contact with. Many doctors forget the importance of bedside manner and creating a relationship with their patients that prioritizes informed consent and collaboration in the treatment process, but Dr. Deraleau does all of this and more so effortlessly and kindly. I am so lucky to have had the privilege of being treated by her, she lessened so much of the stress, anxiety, and shame around my condition and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor.
