Dr. Erika Love Wild Herrera, DO

Dr. Herrera is compassionate, professional, kindhearted, selfless, most considerate, and so much more. She really is one of kind. I will and always will recommend her to family and friends for a PCP. You don’t really find doctors like her anymore. She truly is the best!!!

Came in with a a lot of unanswered questions regarding my health and she answered everyone of them. She actively listened to what I had to say and guided me in the right direction. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. I definitely recommend her

I was a patient at Cherokee Health Systems ever since I was a child. My doctor was awful, I had to go in twice to see my doctor because my doctor kept missing up a produce I had to do. My doctor didn’t not care for any of my concerns and most importantly my health. Now that Ive been a new patient of Dr. Herrera’s for a few months, I can say that I no longer dread visiting the doctors office. She makes me feel seen and truly cares my for health. Now, all of my family has switched to her and I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Herrera is one of the absolute best. The amount of time and care she gives is unmatched. She never judges no matter your concerns or situation and doesn’t push anything you are not comfortable with. I cannot recommend her enough.

I have had trouble finding a doctor that I felt comfortable with and last year I became Dr. Herrera’s patient and have had a wonderful experience ever since. She listens to my concerns thoughtfully and does whatever she can to make me feel comfortable. As a woman, it can be difficult to have a doctor who listens to your concerns, however, Dr. Herrera understand since she is a woman herself and knows what it can be like to be dismissed. I would recommend her to anyone who needs to be seen.

What I want in a primary care provider is someone who is really going to invest the time into getting to know me, my medical history, and lifestyle. Not someone who is going to rush in and out of the room, trying to complete as many appointments in a day as possible. Dr. Herrera really gets to know me. I can tell she does a thorough review of my medical history before each appointment. When I've had issues arise, she presents all available treatment options and advises me the pros and cons of each. Dr. Herrera is someone I really feel like I have a relationship with, not just someone I see to check a box once or twice a year. Excellent care, kind person, great physician!

Dr. Herrera has gone above and beyond what any other PCP has for me. She is timely and respectful when explaining diagnoses and treatment plans. We talk through issues to develop a thoughtful plan that we both agree to. You will instantly be able to see her kind heart and professional service. I am thankful for Dr. Herrera and always recommend her to friends and family who are looking for a PCP. Simply the BEST!

I have seen Dr. Herrera for the past 2 years and from the start she has been the most thorough primary care doctor I have ever had. She listens to all of my concerns and goes out of her way to find answers, whether that is looking through my medical history, ordering more labs or sending out referrals to specialists. She never makes me feel like any of my concerns are trivial, which is what I have experienced in the past with other doctors. I have never felt rushed or hurried during our appointments and she really makes an effort to get to know me on a personal level. I am so thankful to have found Dr. Herrera.

If you have any chronic issues, this is not the doctor for you. She ptells you everything is in your head and refers you to Psychiatry. I left feeling abused and put down

Very pushy and borderline unethical "I'm a Dr. Trust me" attitude. Come to find out she just finished her residency earlier this year. She was very forceful in her beliefs on the efficacy of covid vaccines, to which I stated my opinion/knowledge on the subject. She was rude, forceful, and flat out condescending. I have a science/chemistry background with over 15 years experience yet she just talked over me and ignored my concerns by spewing hyperbole endlessly. She also tried to give my daughter some mouthwash treatment for a sore that developed after my daughter bit her lip on accident. It is clearly infected and rather than treat it with an antibiotic she ordered some tmouthwash treatment that is experimentally used on chemo patients. Our pharmacist was a little concerned and suggested we push for a second opinion. We had another daughter seen for chronic health issues that Dr. Herrera gave us even more incompetent advice rather than consider treatment options. Overall, she seems to… be a little into herself and her bedside manner flat out does not exist. In the middle of a pandemic, some of her methodology will lead to dangerous outcomes as easily treated infections can get out of hand due to her lack of experience being ignored on her behalf, and pushing for risky treatment options instead. Avoid her if possible.
