Erika Porter, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner who provides primary care for patients of all ages. Having been in the profession for close to 25 years, Erika has always loved being a nurse. She started her career at Bayhealth, then earned her master’s in nursing and became a nursing instructor at a local community college. She later expanded her clinical training to be a certified nurse practitioner.Erika loves to help people and educate them toward the goal of better health and an improved quality of life. Her philosophy is to always treat her patients the way she would her own family. Showing respect, kindness and compassion for each individual and their unique needs, she establishes trust with patients in delivering safe and evidence-based care. Through her varied career as a school district nurse, and work in hospitals and healthcare centers, Erika is experienced in a broad range of treatments and procedures in urgent care and primary care. She is also certified by the …Department of Transportation (DOT) to perform physical exams required for those who drive commercial vehicles. Outside of work, Erika loves spending time with her husband, son, extended family, and friends. Originally from Massachusetts, she is a huge New England sports fan. She also enjoys camping and going on cruises with family and close friends.
