Dr. Erin Hudgins Branham, DDS

We had to cancel an appointment due to having to be quarantined for being close to someone with Covid....the appointment was on a Monday we found out the day before we had to quarantine. I called before the appointment and they said actually said yes it was better that we didn't come in. I expected a phone call or snail mail with a business card but it never came, when we contacted them again they said we missed an appointment and wouldn't see us. They had did part of my childs dental work but not finished it, we are now stuck in dental limbo as I can't find someone else to do it. Dr Branham has a monopoly in the area and this is not good. If you look around at these ratings you will see others have similar stories about her. I would suggest looking elsewhere as theres no guarantee she will finish what she started.

After moving back to Parkersburg I was living on Southside my daughter's dentist at the time said she needed a referral to dr. Erin Branham office I did not know who this was at the time when I called the office because they never called me like they were supposed to I had to look them up in the phone book all I was told is that she was referred there and that they would call me they never did call me the reason why is because they said they didn't get the referral when I called them they made me feel that she needed the referral they said they never received a referral for my child so therefore I had to call her other dentists back to get the referral so they would know why they were even seeing her they never gave me an appointment to my knowledge when I called her dentist back and said they never received the referral it seemed like a problem so anyways they my current dentist who doesn't usually see children asked me if I thought that my daughter would be calm enough to let… them go ahead and do the work and since my daughter was pretty well-behaved I said she may let's try rather than go through the whole referral process because I was in between insurance also Tricare and my new insurance we were transitioning from Florida to Parkersburg so my daughter did let them take care of her cavities so therefore she didn't need the referral at that time okay fast forward to now I have another child that also needs to go to the dentist and I was suggested by a friend that Erin Branham was a good dentist so I'm thinking okay well I'll just give them a call so I give them a call three years later now basically and here's what they have to say they said that my daughter missed an appointment 3 years ago well to my knowledge she wasn't even allowed to come to that appointment because she didn't have the referral the appointment that I didn't even know for sure that she had because there was so much confusion about the referral that she needed it's not like we missed an appointment on purpose is not like we called and made an appointment and didn't go on purpose this was when another dentist make a referral and then they call you with an appointment they never called me I had to call them whoever I spoke to was unaware that I already had an appointment and never even inform me of it they said that I didn't even have the referral??? 2 years ago I was between insurances tri care and another and my daughter needed a referral to this dentist her current dentist referred her when I called to see if she had an appointment they said they never received the referral okay at that time they didn't tell me she had an appointment or there was some miscommunication going on because I was told or was under the impression she couldn't come without the referral which is the case in most doctors so I went back to her other dentist and I said they didn't get the referral the other dentist said if she'll be calm that they'll go ahead and try to do the work while she was calm and let them get some of the work done so therefore I never really needed to go not to mention I had just moved back to Parkersburg and didn't know much about any of this okay let's go to current today two years later maybe three I'm looking for a dentist for her because we do not live near that dentist anymore I call dr. Erin Branham office the girl on the… phone does not even understand what I'm trying to explain to her and try to tell me my daughter missed an appointment while back then from what I recall three years ago I never got the appointment because I didn't have the referral so I couldn't go anyways so in my head I didn't even think we missed an appointment and she's telling me we did which we didn't and even if somebody had made an appointment I wasn't even aware of it because I thought you needed the referral first I don't think that they should say they can't see her because she missed an appointment they were something that was a huge mistake on somebody but it sure wasn't a mistake on me so now my daughter has to pay for it and go to a dentist that she's terrified of when she really wanted to go here I thought this was a nice place obviously the people who answered the phone don't know what they're talking about and do not understand customer service completely unfair and not right that is not right at all under any circumstance not like we had an appointment we knew about and didn't go on purpose....
