Dr. Erin B. Lesesky, MD

Professional & Serious... YET... Personal, Sensitive & Thoughtful. These are the types of qualities I most appreciate about Dr. Lesesky. I initially began working with Dr. Lesesky through a program called "Project Access" in which 'people without health insurance are linked into a local network of clinics, laboratories, pharmacies and hospitals that donate their efforts to help those in need'. Dr. Lesesky's participation in this program alone instantly scores points in my eyes. Beyond this, I appreciate that she seems to sincerely listen to the concerns I express and, although she has devoted many years to developing expertise in skin care, shows respect for the knowledge I possess from experience with living in my particular body. I've seen Dr. Lesesky display flexibility in honoring preferences I've expressed for procedures that were performed, thoughtfulness in taking the time after hours to personally contact me to share biopsy results she received from the lab right away,… "so that I could rest peacefully spared from worry through that night", and sensitivity in offering empathetic "sorry's" when I experience pain from needle sticks and the burning sensation from the numbing medication. I appreciate the care that Dr. Lesesky takes when performing procedures. The stitched areas from procedures she has performed have healed nicely with a neat appearance. And I appreciate the thoroughness of the written assessments she provides and promptness with which they are delivered. I am so glad to have found Dr. Lesesky to provide care for my skin. I know that my history of skin issues will probably require regular check ups throughout the rest of my life, and I hope to remain in a doctor-patient relationship with her for many years to come. I am also planning to bring my teenaged daughter to visit her and would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a doctor in the skin care field who provides excellent care.

I've never actually rated a doctor before, but saw that someone gave her 1 star and I had to jump in and say that's ridiculous. I found her to be excellent, extremely caring and knowledgeable. I'm pretty upset because my insurance has recently changed and so I am going to have to find a new dermatologist.
