Dr. Erin Marsh Mellano, MD

Dr. Mellano is one of the best urogynecologist in the area. She is compassionate and insightful and I trust her judgment completely. During procedures, she is gentle and deft. She is now affiliated with UCLA Health and her office staff is professional and caring as well. It may be hard to get an appointment with her, as she is very busy and only sees patients who have bladder or pelvic floor issues. She and her staff are responsive to messaging in the UCLA Health patient portal.

Dr.Erin Mellano is the worst GYN doctor at UCLA. Unprofessional, unorganized and poor management of staff. SHE WROTE A FALSE STATEMENT on MY MEDICAL RECORD. For the Annual Exam, I waited over 50 minutes undressed with only paper covering in the exam room. I have many complex medical conditions. It was difficult for me to breath with the mask that covered my mouth and nose for such a long time. No one from her staff came to check on. me or explain why the doctor would be late. Finally, Dr. Mellano opened the door saying casually “I am sorry”.  I responded to her "I waited for 50 minutes"(only one sentence I told her) but her reaction was very emotional and angry.  As soon as she sat down on a chair, she told me that “I TOLD YOU I am sorry. Previous patient is more complex than you" by opening her eyes wide as if she scolded a child.  She acted like she is a good doctor spending more time for the previous patient while making the other patient waiting long. This is a scheduled… annual exam. She has no organized scheduling including poor staffing. No listening, consideration and care of patients. It was horrible. Furthermore, the next day, Dr.Erin Mellano wrote down Vindictive and False Clinical Notes on my medical record even though she never wrote down the Clinical Notes on my previous annual exams. IN THE CLINICAL NOTES, Dr.Mellano started with a comment on me that "SHE IS VERY DIRECT WOMAN..." This clearly shows her retaliation for my response that 'I waited for 50 minutes.' about her being late. Also, wrote down FALSE STATEMENTS as if I have overly worried about many health concerns and had excessive tests by saying that "She is worried about cancers in general and wants to make sure that she gets pap smear yearly", "She is very definitive in her desire for pelvic imaging", "She does not want radiation exposure and therefore wants bilateral screening ultrasound of breasts”, etc. Dr.Mellano MADE LIES. I met her for the Annual Exam only 3 times over 6 years. During 6 years, I got pap smear (3 times only), Mammograms (1 time only she referred) and Pelvic/transvaginal ultrasound (2 times only). I never had Bilateral screening-ultrasound of breasts even though I have dense breasts. Clinical Notes should be written for a follow-up of patient health, not dumping her emotional trash. What's wrong with her as a doctor? I pay for doctor's service for my health for both physical and mental well-being. On the contrary, Dr.Erin Mellano's treatment and her false clinical notes intended to undermine my worth and cause patient suffering. What kind of woman acts like this as a doctor?
