Dr. Erin Victoria Sparks, MD

Dr Erin Sparks was able to diagnose my condition when no other doctor could. She believed me and went the extra mile to show me and my family that she cared about me as a human being. Thanks to her and her nurses I am feeling better than ever.

Dr. Sparks has been nothing short of a blessing to our family. She has gone out of her way to make sure we have all understood my mothers condition. I am shocked by the previous review as she has nothing but glowing reviews from the staff and other physicians here at Roper. I would trust Dr. Sparks with any one of my family members and thank God she was working when my mother was admitted. God bless her.

Dr. Sparks is both lacking in experience and professionalism as well as bedside manner and maturity. As in every critical care situation, emotions and stress levels are understandably running high and any physician who can not recognize the necessity for prompt and consistent communication to the family on an individuals care, nor the sensitivity of such should not be in medicine. Dr. Sparks' lack of experience in the field resulted in several missteps throughout my Father's care. When questioned about those critical mistakes, she became antagonistic and did not have the maturity to except her errors and deal with the families concerns and questions. Obviously, this caused the family to have concerns about Dr. Sparks' competency and care. The lack of proper communication also resulted in a very unpleasant experience with both herself and the hospital. Dr. Sparks seemed very annoyed to answer any questions by the family and always very pressed for time. Making our… family feel comfortable and confident in our Father's care did not appear to be a concern, nor a priority for this Dr. Sparks. I would suggest a different neurologist based on our family's personal experience.
