I had seen many doctors for my depression before, yet none of their medications worked. This guy is an expert! Don't be fooled by his young looks- he has extensive experience treating PTSD, especially in Veterans and ones suspected of having experienced military sexual trauma. He is super knowledgeable. His approach is conservative, yet dynamic. When standard medications didn't work for me, we reviewed the literature together and he showed me data for off-label use of a medication to treat my nightmares and flashbacks, but with fewer side effects than my prior medication. He is worth his weight in gold!

He always tries to rule out medical conditions that could be contributing to symptoms, and in my case, ordered labs, ECG, and MRI prior to providing me with a definitive psychiatric diagnosis. I was impressed with his professionalism and scientific way that he used to solve problems. He is also very careful and checks your vital signs at each visit to keep track of potential adverse effects of medications that can affect your blood pressure, for example.

He has trained at the best institutions, including Harvard Medical School, and McLean Hospital, ranked #1 in the country for Psychiatry. He really listened to my worries, and did not interrupt me. He gave me all the time I needed, even beyond the 1 hour scheduled appointment, to get to know me as a person and tailor my treatment accordingly. He treated me with dignity and respect. He is caring and trustworthy. He helped me understand the origin of my symptoms and helped me put my illness in perspective, teaching me that it doesn’t define me and reassuring me that he would be with me every step of the way. He was! He cured my depression using medication and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I am so thankful to him.
