Dr. Ernest M. Bove, MD

I've been his patient for more than twenty years and have no complaints. His care for me has included surgery. A friend recently had prostate surgery by Dr. Bove, and is very happy with the results.

I went to see Dr. Bove upon the recommendation of my primary care doctor for some erectile dysfunction issues. His conclusion was that there was nothing physically wrong with me and that my wife's refusal to please me sexually was the cause of my problems. He told me to find a younger girlfriend and that would solve all my issues !

Dr. Bove questioned why I was on SDDI. When I told him I had mental illness, he then asked what psychotropic meds I was on. When I told him none he threw me out of his office without treating me and called me a fraud. He then billed Medicare despite refusing to treat me and put me in collections for the co-pay. This man discriminated against me because of my mental illness and defrauded Medicare himself. He is a horrible human being.

Dr. Bove treated both my father and husband. My father stopped his treatments because he didn't need them. My husband was misdiagnosed and found another doctor who diagnosed him properly.

My experience with Dr. Bove was while hospitalized at Rutland. He was always late for scheduled procedures, including my surgery, keeping the staff and I waiting to begin. Following the surgery, he did not come to see me as he said he would. After being in his care for a week, I had spent less than 10 minutes total with him. During the time I did see him, he was very informative about my case.

Very poor. Unprepared and uninterested. Offered surgical recommendations before receiving test results. Avoid this guy!
