Dr. Ernest Castro, MD

Spends more time taking notes and googling your condition than examining/testing you in-person. He seems very uncomfortable and unsure, which prevents the patient from trusting his opinion. Several websites claim he treats conditions he actually doesn't. Requires you return for several follow-up appointments without diagnosis. Took 7 months to have my pain seriously addressed, but still no diagnosis. Never called back to answer simple questions or followed through on orders and referrals. Very eager to leave as soon as he enters the room. Spent hundreds of dollars on poor care.

Dr. Castro has been my primary care physician for 10+ years, and he's great. He takes the time to answer questions and have a thoughtful discussion about the medical condition, and on more than one occasion has followed up with an email or phone call with information he researched after the visit. And he's also open to other forms of treatment besides just prescribing meds, such as vitamins and other forms of alternative care.
