Dr. Garcia is a graduate of Loyola High School of Los Angeles and UCLA. A 1984 graduate, he serves at the UCSF School of Dentistry as an Assistant Clinical Professor. Dr. Garcia is a Past President of the Hispanic Dental Association, a former Trustee of the California Dental Association and served as Secretary of the CDA Foundation for three years. Dr. Garcia is a Delegate to the American Dental Association and sits on their Committee on Career Guidance and Diversity Activities. He currently is a Board member of the ADA Foundation, the Give Kids A Smile Program, and Delta Dental of California. He is a member of the National Advisory Committee for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Initiative: Pipeline, Profession and Practice: Community Based Dental Education, and sits on the Oral Health Access Council for the State of California, as well as, the Global Children’s Oral Health Task Force in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Garcia is a past recipient of the U.C.L.A. Alumni …Association Award and the National Hispanic Medical Association Meritorious Service Award.  He is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the American College of Dentistry and the International College of Dentistry. Dr. Garcia resides in Yuba City, California with his wife of 30 years, Cecilia. Their daughters Virginia and Elisa are both teachers locally. On the local level, Dr. Garcia is Vice-Chairman of the Measure J Citizens Bond Oversight Committee for Yuba College. He is a member of the Hispanic Alliance and the North Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
