Great doctor very knowledgeable I took my son since he was a newborn now taking the grandchildren

I recently moved from out of state and needed to find a new doctor for my son. I heard good things from Doctor Gonzalez, so i trusted in him for my sons care. It was the worst experience i have ever had. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for at least a year through all my sons check ups from 1-2 years of age but never had a good experience. Not only does no one ever answer he phone when you need them, and you have to call a hundred times to even set up an appointment, but when you do finally get a scheduled appointment Dr. Gonzalez has no bed side manner and is extremely rude. He doesn't take the time to discuss the illness, or problem that may be wrong and if you ask him a question he doesn't even answer. For example: I was worried my son may be allergic to a type of plastic in some sippy cups because every time he drank from this brand his whole mouth would break out in blisters. He asked me what was he drinking and i replies with "Juice now, why?" He abruptly said "Its the juice."… I said, "No, it only happens out of this sippy cup whether its juice or milk." Without any more to be said, he stands up and says, "Its the juice." and walks out. I waited for a good five minutes before the receptionist came in and asked if there was anything else and i said "Yeah, my concern was not being followed though." She said, "Well hes with another patient now, if you want we can schedule you another appointment." Through my own investigation i just don't give my son a particular brand of cups and it doesn't happen, but i still don't know what the reaction was from. This was only one of the handful of examples that i have had to encounter in the small year i had him as a doctor. I would never recommend him to anyone.

He couldn't read the chart right and kept calling my daughter a he and called her by the wrong name even when I corrected him. Tried giving my daughter shots she already had and said sorry I misread your chart. And had horrible bedside manors towards my daughter and I.

I've been taking my kids to doctor Ernie since they were born. We moved to Flagler county & were going to find another doctor closer by but didn't care for them so we make the drive to Palatka everytime our children need to go to the doctor. Dr. Ernie is very caring, does a very thorough job & always takes the time to sit with me & my husband to discuss any concerns about our children's health. The waiting time is always short & his staff is extremely friendly. You can tell he really loves children & cares about each & every one of them. I give him the highest rating.

He is a great pediatrician. He cares about his patients. My son is only 3 months old and we've been in his office, for gerd, over 10 times and he never seems bothered! he has a 24hour line and he calls you back in a timely manner.. even at 3 in the morning!
