Ernest S. Han, M.D., Ph.D., is a gynecologic oncologist at City of Hope Duarte in the Los Angeles-area and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. He is dedicated to treating gynecological cancers such as cervical, uterine, endometrial and ovarian cancer. He specializes in the minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic oncology surgery and HIPEC. He is fluent in English and Korean. One of Dr. Han's primary specialties is the use of imaging tools in the operating room to improve diagnostic evaluation of cancer during surgery. Dr. Han is the best doctor you can have when it comes to gynecological oncology. He’s not only an expert, he is a very skilled surgeon AND he’s the most well mannered and polite doctor I’ve ever met. I had met 3 gynecology oncologist, and they were all rated high through referrals and good reviews, and Dr. Han was the best in diagnosing my issues and coming with the treatment plan, and spent his time to explain to me in details and never rushed and brushed off my questions. I’m very glad I went with Dr. Han for my hysterectomy. The surgery was a success and the recovery was quick without any complications. I would definitely trust Dr. Han with any gynecologic oncology matters.

He has good bedside manner except when there is a problem. If you have a problem, he is not as attentive in getting you care. I can only speak for myself. I hope that he was better for others. He is a surgeon. The attitude here is get in, get the job done, and move on.

He is a decent person that does well when there are no follow-up problems. In my case, there were follow-up problems, so he was not the best doctor to help facilitate my much needed treatment.

This specialist stood over my sister in surgery for 13.5 hours and saved her life!That is truly amazing to me that ANYBODY could stand over anything or anybody for that long a period of time, while performing delicate surgery... I don't know of any athletes that could do this. He had to be held up by God. Thank you so much Dr. Han at City of Hope Hospital

Dr. Han and team performed a long, intricate, and what turned out to be a miraculous surgery on me after I was diagnosed with stage 3b cervical cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. I continue to follow-up with him every 3 months; HE'S THE BEST DOCTOR EVER! HE IS BRILLIANT! Always concerned, interested, gentle, respectful... I would definitely recommend him to ANYONE!
