Dr Ernest Lee Howard

Dr. Howard's genuine compassion and sincerity are such a relief because a person in pain often feels a certain amount of guilt for even seeking help. He has never made me feel anything but optimism and gratitude. The help he has given me is immeasurable. Wonderful doctor.

Finally got the answers to what was causing my pain.

Dr. Howard is very good at what he does. He spends time with his patients and he listens carefully. He has helped me reduce pain and increase my strength through recommended excercises that he demonstrates in his office, recommends you tube videos for further excercises, by providing specific diagnosis and detailed prescription for physical therapy, and by recommending an excellent local physical therapist. I have chronic illness that has caused early onset osteoporosis and most of my problems are related to changes in my back, hips and shoulders as a result of bone loss. I prefer not to take pain medications, and prefer not to have surgery unless absolutely necessary. Dr. Howard helps you work with your body to reduce pain and increase strength and mobility. He is an amazing diagnostician with a great bedside manner. He is also always positive, which is very helpful when you live with chronic pain.

Dr. Howard is a great doctor but most of the time very confusing and dont like to be corrected. The staff that answers the phone is very RUDE. I would not recommend this dr to no one, if were in pain we have no time for this nonsense.

Tells it like it is. Talks one on one. He is caring doctor for his patients. Not influenced by others. Willing to help his patients with the best care for them on their needs of medical care. His staff is polite and wiling to help with any way they can. Polite.

Dr Howard has always treated me with genuine concern and has never made me feel rushed during an appoint. His staff is very graciouss in accomidating me as far as sheduling goes as I live in Alabama and they try thier to get me in on Fridays...I work 3rd shift. I can truely say he has helped me to stay at a comfortable leevel of pain, and encouraged me during the down times. Great Doctor!!!

Dr. Howard is the best - I consider myself blessed under his care.

One of the best Physcians I have had the pleasure of meeting, But can be extremely confusing when he's busy or frustrated. As well as extremely hard to satisfy when it comes to Medication orders. Be sure to be clear as to what you are expected to take/how often, because what you read on your RX bottle once you are home may not be exactly as he explained during the office visit. So it becomes more of a question of how much you have left since your last visit than what helps or what does not. He can also be extremely abrasive when his treatments do not have the effect HE expects. Just remember, He works for YOU! And all that matters at the end of the day is your well being. He's not the only Pain DR. in the phone book.

Great DR. But can be very confusing!! be sure of medication dosing because he will say one thing and write the opposite, but overall, so far, bedt DR. I have seen so far.
