Dr. Ernest Edward Smith, MD

Dr Smith does not seem aware of gender bias on ADOS-2 nor acknowledges the impact of high functioning autism in young girls. He uses the Vanderbilt scale on children it is not age appropriate for. He thinks his 30 minute evaluation is a complete analysis of a child's functioning. The school did an evaluation over weeks and feels my child has autism. Dr. Smith used inappropriate tools that can be biased and said she doesn't.

He literally saved our family..... Two of my kids have ADHD and Dr Smith was the first doctor that they respected and were helped by his calm, quiet, yet serious demeaner. We love him. They were sad to turn 21 and realize they were too old!! Thank you forever Dr. Smith!!!

Dr. Smith has been our developmental pediatrician for about 7 years. We are never rushed at our appointments and he also goes over all possibilities treatments with us. He is very knowledgable of even the newest treatment trends/drugs and also helps us weigh the pros and cons of each. He looks at the whole picture when evaluating our child. We are very blessed to have found this doctor to care for our child. This is a stark contrast to the first development pediatrician we saw who diagnosed and prescribed treatment for our child within 15 minutes.
