Dr. Ernst Nicolitz, MD

This practice requires that you give up a constitutional right in their arbitration agreement that you must sign before even seeing a doctor. Anyone signing that arbitration agreement has no brain.

I was kept waiting for 1 hour. Then Dr. came in without my chart. He proceeded to tell me that he doesn't want to do the procedure that he had recommended. WHAT??

I was referred to Dr. Nicolitz by my primary doctor because of skin tags on my eyelid. You are supposed to come twice to get basic testing at his clinic! Without doing any tests, Dr. Nicolitz suggested to come twice a year because of beginning of cataract and suspicion of glaucoma. I went to an eye doctor in Levenson’s optic, and all basic tests were done at the first visit and no signs of cataract or glaucoma. I knew it! I’m not going to come to Dr. Nicolitz twice a year or ever. Money maker!

While everyone in Dr. Nicholitz office seemed very nice, I was not pleased with the results of my eye surgery. It's been six months and my eyesight is still blurry even though at the first meeting I was told I probably wouldn't even need glasses after cataract surgery, for an upcharge of course, but that is not true. I ordered my eyeglasses today. At my last visit, while I was complaining about my blurry vision, Dr. Nicholitz then said everyone needs glasses after cataract surgery. I wish he had been upfront with me from the beginning so that I could make an informed decision.

Admin staff was okay, PA was terrible and Doctor was uncaring and not helpful. Seems to be a money factory above all else.

First I would like to comment on his building...its a gorgeous place and it seems well taken care of, clean. I did have to wait a while to see him but it wasn't too bad. He was gentle and knowlegable. His staff was friendly and the exam they gave me was very thorough. I feel confident with Dr. Nicolitz and I plan to conitune with him. I only trust Dr. Nicolitz with my eyes.

AWFUL! Doctors are VERY INCOMPETENT. They don't know the difference between a pregnancy category C eye drop and pregnancy category B. (Category C drugs has not been test to check if they are harmless to fetuses). I used to go there every four months for about three years to follow up on my Glaucoma every time a different doctor saw me. When I got pregnant I called them to get a pregnancy category B eye drops prescribed and stop taking "Lumigan" well they prescribed me another category C drug "Timolol Maleate". I called them again and they said they could not change the prescription because none of the doctors that had seen me work there any more. INCOMPETENCE AFTER INCOMPETENCE IN THAT PLACE. I just changed ophthalmologist. Never going there again. I am not letting any family or friend going to that place.

I would not recommend Dr. Nicolitz to my worst enemy. I went to him for watery eye, and after numerous surgeries I ended up with a brain tumor. Probably didn't need these surgeries if the proper test were run. STAY AWAY STAY FAR AWAY!!!

I recently sought the services of Dr. Nicolitz to repair a drooping left eyelid. After being told that I also needed an eyebrow lift due to my having a "heavy brow" (total nonsense), I underwent several expensive somewhat painful tests. After reviewing the tests, one of Nicolitz's assistants called and said that I was to start using Luminar eye drops, a very expensive medication. She did not tell me why or offer to review my test results. When I contacted them again for a less expensive alternative medication, I was shouted at and told that I had Glaucoma in a very unprofessional, uncaring manner. When I started asking questions, like what were my latest eye pressure measurements, I was greeted with rudeness and treated like a pest. The office manager then called me a few days later and informed me that I was being dismissed from their practice as I was not taking the prescribed medication. This turned out to be a miraculous break for me as Nicolitz would no doubt have… disfigured me had I allowed him to perform delicate eye surgery. This doctor and his staff should be booted out of the business. They are harming their patients, both physically and mentally.

Unhappy, about Brow Pexy and Eyelid Surgery, whcih was totaly covered by my two insurance Co. He asked for an extra $600.00 out of pocket to "make sure everything comes out even", after all this is - and I quote- "not plastic/cosmetic surgery because medicare pays for it". I am disfigured and my operation turned out uneven. Be careful. I do not recommend Dr. Nivolitz and this statement is outragous.
