I had a brain aneurysm in 2004.Dr Veznedaroglu saved my life.He is the best neurosurgeon ever..I have been seeing him since.He is a very nice guy.I could not ask for anyone better.

Dr. Vez was my neurosurgeon for massive ruptured brain aneurysm when he was at Jefferson Neuroscience 2005. He is a very fine surgeon and advised on rehab and recovery timetable. I am permanently disabled, but good quality of life because of his timely surgical intervention and postoperative care. Dr. Vez referred me to the best rehab hospital and epilepsy subspecialist for followup. i highly recommend Dr. Vez.

Dr. Vez is a highly skilled and compassionate neurosurgeon for whom I have the utmost respect. His timely intervention and skill saved my life. I'm a ruptured brain aneurysm survivor, Grade 5 subarachnoid hemorrhage; 200 ML. bleed on my brain. My surgery was very high risk. I was comatose on arrival and grateful to still be here, thanks to Dr. Vez.

Dr. Vez's credentials speak for themselves and I don't doubt them. He explains conditions and procedures adequately enough to help patients understand them. The diagnosis just wasn't quite on the mark. Vez diagnosed me with fluid in the brain (though the MRI reports wadifferent condition) and an unknown mass in the pituitary gland. During our ten minute consultation, he appeared slightly concerned about relieving both conditions as quickly as possible. During the second consultation two months later, he stood near his desk, detached as if he was ready to walk out the door any second! Although two MRIs were performed, there were two big red flags for me. Firstly, the lack of further examinations and scans to ensure both conditions were properly diagnosed such as a neuropsychological evaluation, and a CT scan (the MRI report even recommended them). Secondly, after two months of waiting for results from the second MRI and endless calls to his office being avoided, a surgery… date had been set. Forget complications from a possibly improper diagnosis, I was all set for a biopsy and shunt placement. Both highly invasive procedures would be performed on the same day! He told me a nuclear brain scan would be performed before the biopsy. I was alarmed that the biopsy was being performed without the nuclear brain scan. His response was something to the effect of "It won't make a difference if you have it or not." It makes a difference to me! I don't want to be opened up if I don't need to be. Dr Vez may be excellent in other cases yet his hasty decisions have brought pain and strife to my family. I will never set foot in his office again.

5 yrs ago, I suffered a massive ruptured brain aneurysm. I was flown to Jefferson Neuroscience Hospital in Philly where Dr. Vez was still working and he operated on me. He performed the coil emboilization where he had to insert 7 titanium coils into the aneurysm site. 3 days later, he ended up having to do a craniectomy of the right half of my skull to allow room for my brain to swell. He was very compassionate and very caring throughout the entire ordeal with my family. Even throughout the recovery process, he didn't sugar coat anything (which I didn't want), He told me what to expect and what was going to happen and what was not going to happen. I was heartbroken when he left Jefferson to go to Capital Health. Bottom line....I went from only having 8 hrs to live and not likely surviving the night to beating the odds and surviving 5 yrs later with hardly any lingering side effects because of this man's knowledge!!! He is truly a gift from God!!

Dr.Vez was extremely patient with us and explained the problem and the solution. He seemed very knowledgeable and that's the kind of man you want as a doctor. Thank you Dr.Vez!
