Dr. Ervin Harold Epstein JR., MD

Dr. Epstein's days of practicing medicine need to come to an end. He spent the entire visit in the Lafayette office asking me about my sex life. After about 20 minutes, I asked him, "Don't you want to look at the lesion I came in here for?" He begrudgingly looked at the lesion on my back and said, "Well, it's red." Of course it's red. I could see that myself. I didn't need to pay anyone and sit in a cramped waiting room for 20 minutes to hear that my lesion was red. How about a diagnosis? He said, "If it gives you any trouble, come back in. And, next time, wear something else, young lady." There was no nurse present and I was not completely comfortable with the way he touched me. Even at this stage of my life (a grandmother) I was creeped out by this visit and feel I must warn others. Now I have an entire back full of basal cell carcinoma because of this negligence. If it had been caught in time, when it was a small lesion, I would not be going through the pain and… disfigurement I am experiencing right now. He didn't really look at it. Did not biopsy it. Just made me feel like I had been violated.

Dr. Epstein is an excellent dermatologist! He has been our dermatologist for many years.

Great sense of humor.

When you get to see Dr. Epstein, he seems ok, but the wait is extremely long and the front office is completely rude and unprofessional. I checked with them on an appointment and the staff was so incompetent that I decided to find another dermatologist rather than dealing with them again. I strongly recommend not bothering with this office. Save yourself a lot of trouble.
