I took my father to Dr. Esfandiarifard’s office. He prescribed a blood thinner but never monitored his blood levels throughout the entire time he was on the medication. This lack of monitoring was extremely dangerous—and ultimately, it led to my father’s death.When my father returned to the office, he mentioned that he couldn’t feel half of his body. Nastarin, his wife, had just brought him tea, but it was already too late—his lips had gone numb. Moments later, the entire left side of his body became numb right there in the doctor’s office. The doctor looked anxious and admitted, “We forgot to check his blood thinner level, and I gave him the medication.”They immediately called 911, and he was taken to Tarzana Hospital. There, the doctors informed us that his blood was dangerously thin due to the unmonitored blood thinner. They tried everything, including giving him a large amount of plasma to help his blood clot again, but nothing worked. His blood never thickened, and he passed… away.He was only 73 years old. This tragic outcome happened because the doctor failed to monitor a high-risk medication—something that should never be overlooked.To make matters worse, when we requested my father’s medical records after his death, we discovered that Dr. Esfandiarifard had altered the dates and times in the records. Some notes were even dated after my father had already died. That’s when we realized he was trying to cover up what happened. This wasn’t just a medical mistake—it was a devastating failure in care, followed by dishonesty. My father died because of this, and I share our story so no other family has to experience the same pain. Please be cautious. "I would give zero stars if that were an option, but unfortunately, the rating starts at one star." I had a deeply disappointing and painful experience with Dr. Esfandiarifard Esfandiar. Unfortunately, he seems to prioritize volume over quality, rushing through appointments and giving little attention to individual patient needs. Because he schedules far too many patients, it felt like I was just another number on his list—no real time or care was given to truly understand my condition. What’s worse, his rushed approach led to a completely wrong diagnosis and an ineffective, even harmful, treatment plan. I trusted him with my health, only to realize later that the course of action he suggested was based on poor judgment and a lack of proper evaluation. It’s extremely upsetting to feel deceived and to suffer through unnecessary stress and pain because of a preventable mistake. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking thoughtful, accurate, or compassionate medical care.… Patients deserve more than to be hurried out the door with half-considered diagnoses. This dr. Just have talk shot in Persian community once in a month just to deceive the audience. NOT RECOMMENDED at all

Great doctor to visit. He cares and spends more time than any other Physicians I have visited. He ensure that his patients are getting the best care. This is my experience with Dr. Esfandiari and I would like to share it. Thanks.

Kept misdiagnosing the symptoms of cancer as arthritis and air pollution for almost two years. Seemed more interested in being in charge of referral for other doctors and home care providers. 2-4 hour wait is the norm while visiting. Office and exam room is very dirty and unorganized. In short not on top of his game.

Good doctor but you have to take your bed to his office to lay down because the average waiting is at least three hours, her staff never return calls even emergency call. However, if you don't show up the charge you $25 and if you wait long hours there is no any apology.

The best Doctor I have gone to. Extremely knowledgable. The wait sometimes is longer than other Doctor but that is because the doctor takes his time to review everything in the medical record

It pains me to write a bad review for anyone, but in this instance I feel I have to, because my mom would have been dead due to Dr. Esfandiari's neglegance. My mom was a patient of Dr. Esfandiari for several years, until couple of years ago he ordered a "MRI" to be done, from my mom's brain. At the "MRI" lab, the lab technician (god bless him) after looking at the information papers that my mom (my brother filled because my mom doesn't speak English) had just filled out, informed them that "MRI" would cause a severe bleeding in her brain because she has metal clips in her head! Needless to say that the lab technician was shocked that Dr. Esfandiari had requested "MRI" done, while having access to this vital information in my mom's medical file! When my mom contacted Dr. Esfandiari's office and told them about this hideous mistake , not only she didn't receive an apology, but his office manager (nastaran) dismissed it offhandedly, and said, "Oh really? The Dr. Must have forgotten"!!

I had lab work done and my vitamin D level's were unusually high. The doctor said he had never seen such a thing. I asked whether there could be a mistake in the lab work and the doctor's wife "Nastaran" said absolutely not, in addition to calling me a suspicious person. I asked to have my vitamin D checked again and Nastaran refused to allow it. I was then told to get x-rays done in order to understand why my vitamin D levels were so high. I had to spend the money on the x-rays out of pocket and the results didn't show anything. The doctor then had me do lab work again and my vitamin D levels were normal. Clearly, there was an error in the initial lab work which I had suggested to the doctor and Nastaran. When I explained this to Nastaran over the phone she yelled some profanities and hung up the phone on me. Great patient care...I am never going back to this office. I don't have anything against the doctor himself, but his staff (secretary and wife) are incredibly rude.

You might wait a little bit longer, but you wait worth every minute. I have never seen any doctor spending 45 minutes with any patient. He is very attentive, knowledgeable and he saved my husband's life. My husband had a cancer and the doctor was able to diagnose at a very early stage.
