Esla Aminlewis, NP

Esla Aminlewis is a dedicated and accomplished Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife with over three decades of experience delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to women across the lifespan. She currently serves as a Senior Midwife at New York-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester providing where she is deeply involved in clinical care, education, mentorship, and healthcare administration.
She earned her DNP with distinction from Chamberlain University in 2023. She holds a Master's degree in Nursing from SUNY Stony Brook and a Midwifery Certificate from Rutgers University. Her clinical expertise spans full-scope midwifery care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecological services, and newborn assessments. She has served in leadership roles for decades, overseeing staff management, policy development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Esla is also an experienced educator and preceptor, having mentored students from Yale, Columbia, Fairfield, and …Frontier Nursing Universities. She holds a Courtesy Faculty appointment at Yale School of Nursing and has contributed significantly to professional development through workshops, lectures, and conference presentations. Her work has extended beyond U.S. borders through global health missions in Guatemala and Nigeria.
Passionate about health equity, patient empowerment, and lifelong learning, Esla Aminlewis is the recipient of multiple preceptor awards, including honors from the American College of Nurse Midwives and Yale University. She is fluent in English and medical Spanish and remains an advocate for accessible, quality care in both hospital and community health settings.
