Dr. Essam Darwish Shihadeh, DO

I have had exposure to Shihadeh and I must say he is not competent . He failed to conclude the radiotherapy because he used the wrong equipment , lied about it and his treatment has led me toward salvage radiation, from a well known radio/oncologist is a different state.

I met with Dr. Shihadeh for the first time today. Let me say that is staff is wonderful!! Dr. Shihadeh has a terrible bedside manner! He is very dismissive, does not answer questions and I was not respected as a person or patient. He was not prepared for my appointment was on the phone with another person about my case and was texting another doctor for a second opinion. This person he was texting does not know me, never met me, has never seen my medical records. I was too dumbfound to say something to him at the time because I was stressed going into the appointment. He made an unprofessional commend about my body! This man may provide good care as far as treatment with radiation but he is 100% unprofessional with patients!!

Dr shihadda is an awesome doctor! And all his staff are very nice!

I give Dr. Shihadeh 5 stars out of 4! There is no aspect of care I received at his clinic that was not superlative. There is no place in the country that I would feel safer entrusting my oncology needs than at the Fairbanks Cancer Clinic, and Dr. Shihadeh's clinic is a large part of the reason why. There was some waiting involved on some appointments, which is not uncommon given the number of patients that he sees daily. I'm shocked to see the low rating on this site and would like to correct the inaccuracy of this record.
