Dr. Esterlita Fiel Quinones, MD

This Dr yelled at me and lied to me and said I don’t have a right or need for an essential caregiver. She called my mom a scammer and criminal for applying for FMLA from her place of work to be my essential caregiver. She must’ve yelled that she knows, she knows, she’s a Dr so she knows. I wasn’t allowed to talk, she yelled at me several times and told me to look up when she was talking to me. She yelled and poked me pretty hard in my arm again and again yelling to hang up the phone right now over and over telling me I’m not allowed to call my mom during my appt, she said it’s just me and you!! It was horrible. I cried and she knew about my trauma already but I think it only made her be even more aggressive. I’m disabled and am in a wheelchair. She only did a 180 after she looked at my work online and after I showed her all my rights on my iPad screen while at the same time that she was talking to my mom

I want to start by saying thank you to the curly blond haired nurse who came to comfort and encourage me. What you did for me today at the end of trauma day, without saying many words, I just hope you know and saw it in my mascara smeared teary eyes, how precious you are! A single moment of unspoken grace and mercy after being in triggering survivor mode …it was like an Angel face telling me it’s gonna be ok. Thank you sweet nurse! Your face will be cherished as a soft memory of your compassion and empathy. I felt safe when you arrived and feeling safe is so special to me.

Instead of focusing on the patients care, all the doctor did was focus on my family members economic and legal status. The doctor spoke out of terms and brought up her political point of view about Trump taking away DACA and dismissing them due to being illegal. The doctor then proceeded by stating that my family member shouldn't own a house because they aren't legal. The doctor continued harassing my family members by saying that they should work in cleaning houses etc. My family wasn't able to speak up due to their legal status but I have no problem in exposing this doctor for being a disgrace to healthcare.

Staff, Friendly. Wait time, acceptable. Doctor, terrible. My experience with Esterlita was the most offensive conversation I have ever had with any human being. She was extremely racist towards me and my family. In 2019, you would expect better from a typical human, ESPECIALLY a doctor. I am hurt that someone who I am supposed to trust and be most vulnerable around would treat me this way, making comments about getting a job as a cleaning lady, moving elsewhere, getting documentation for my family.. the list goes on unfortunately. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone that I respect or to anyone who respects THEMSELVES. Embarrassing. I am not sure how a medical school could give an MD to this type of person.

During a visit she decided to go on a very aggressive rant, and was extremely unfriendly. This is a doctor I would not want to see, and would not recommend to anyone. It was extremely unprofessional, and I will take my business and health elsewhere.

She works for a FREE clinic and is questioning patients' legal statuses. She claimed her place of work, Banning Family Care Center, doesn't treat "illegals." She questioned the patient's home ownership and said the patient shouldn't be able to own a home if they're illegal. Given many of her patients are hispanic in Banning, California, it's alarming that this doctor is still in practice given her atrocious racism. Do not give her your business.

Dr Quinones have time to listen and understand to what I am saying concerning my physical and mental problems before giving prescriptions..
