Dr. Esther Jeehae Lee

I came to her without having a diagnosis, but knowing something was wrong. She gave me a ultrasound and told me I had Hashimoto's. I was like what is that? She said the name again and that it was an autoimmune disease. This shocked me. So I asked can you explain more? She said she would talk more when I got the bloodwork. Okay? I know she may know what it is and it may not be a big deal to her, but to me being hit with news like that, it is a big deal. She told me to get bloodwork, which I did and it showed a high, but normal thyroid level. She said if I wanted to start on medication I could if i wanted to. This confused me. Why wasn't she telling me with a clear plan on what to do. I again asked her what is Hashimoto's and what will my life be like with it. She said it is an autoimmune disease and if I google it beware of people talking about foods to eat to help the disease. That's it! Clearly, she didn't hear me. I looked at her again and asked. She said it was an autoimmune… disease. That's it folks,,,,, She was pleasant. That's about it. She seemed to not know how to answer me. Yeah, I didn't go to medical school that why I go to doctor. The new office (Wayne) is awful. Apparently, months out she only has one day and time available. When I said i needed a certain day the girl repeated the same day and time. How is this possible months out? Go somewhere else.

When looking for a doctor, I want one that shows that they genuinely care about my well being. I inherited Dr. Lee since she replaced my regular who just retired. In the 2 times i met with her, she seemed uninterested in my overall well being, provided confusing prescription direction, and did not firmly let me know how my medication should be administered. She took a laissez faire attitude. I had questions like, should i take it in the morning or afternoon, before bed? Shall i take the prescription with food or without food? And each time, I was met with, "yes you could do that" or "if that's what you're used to" . As my doctor, I want you to tell me what to do with clear direction. I am definitely looking for a new doctor after this last visit. Stay away!

Dr. Esther Lee has been my diabetes doctor for the last 9 years she came highly recommended by my former primary doctor Dr. Allan Baskin who has since retired. She comfortably exemplifies professionalism, and shows her concern on humanistic levesl that gives me as her patient the trust of discussing all that may be going on with my life and can effect my health. She is simply the best! Great bedside manners. Keep up the good work, Dr. Lee.

Dr Lee has been treating my diabetes for many years. I followed her from her previous office to Valley this year. She is the BEST DOCTOR that I have used for my diabetes in over 20 years. She is: Caring, knowledgeable, easy to communicate, listens, helpful and pleasant personality. I have referred her to people that I meet that needs a endo. Excellent Doctor!

I'm glad that I saw her. She is the consummate professional who took a lot of time to educate me on my condition and treatment. She has a genuine, direct approach. It's only after seeing Dr. Lee that I realized how little my previous physician did for me. My daughter, who accompanied me on my visit, agreed.

I felt that she wasn't listening to me, she kept leaving the room without a word when I was talking to her about my problem. I had to ask the nurse if she was coming back. very disappointed

Dr. Lee was a wonderful person to meet. She is prompt and thorough in her execution. She diagnosed me quickly but did not rush me at all. I would recommend her to anyone.

I felt that she wasn't interested or listening to my concerns. I would no return, not at all worth the wait
