Dr. Esther Elizabeth Walker, DO

Not a compassionate doctor in the treatment of painful wounds! Said she could not prescribe pain mediation so my husband had to get it from his heart doctor. He takes pain medication very infrequently & is a tough guy who normally has a high pain tolerance but could not take enough pain medication for his appointments with her for wound care at the Norman Wound Care Clinic! He would have severe pain for days after seeing her for wound care! All he could do was go home & take more pain medication & sleep for several days. By the time he started to get some relief, it was time to go back & do it all over again! He did this several times but eventually could not tolerate it any more. He transferred to Midwest City Wound Care where he saw Dr. Collins who was much more compassionate & did prescribe pain medication for his wound care. We found out Dr. Walker is affiliated with this wound care facility also SO BE WARNED- ask to see anyone else but her, especially if you have painful wounds!

I had saw her for a while at Midwest City Regional Hospital Wound Care clinic. At first she was a friendly enough. But she changed. I went from bad to worse in a matter of a week, everytime I saw her. She refused to listen to me on many things which caused a great deal of problems. She did not like a surgeon who did a surgery on me and puposely deadened the "Healed" wound and opened up again. She has a spiteful vengeful way about her. She threatened me to report to the insurance that i was non-complient if i refused to go back to her. I talked with my PCP and Insurance company so they set me up with another who would listen to me, and my wound was fixed in a weeks time. i have incidently got a staff adfter her treating me a few times ending up in the hospital.
