Dr. Eston Gibbons Norwood, MD

Dr. Norwood retired several years ago.

Seen in the hospital having seizures and previous diagnosis I can honestly state this was the most hateful, rude person Ive dealt with. Very condescending. He preaches in a very rough mean tone, never really allowing you to speak. Would not trust him with my dogs. Seriously the medical board should pay him a visit

My teenage son began seeing him this year and we are very pleased with the care. Dr. Norwood seems to be very concerned about his patients and make it a point to respond to every phone call.

Dr. Norwood entered the room in a combative manner, advised me that I did not use appropriate medical terminology when describing my symptoms and advised me that I have headaches. I have been able to see a much better neurologist who was able to help me with one EEG. I have spoken with others in this area with similar stories. STAY AWAY from this Dr.

My father was diagnosed by Dr. Norwood with Bell's Palsy. Pain continued, and he finally went to Mayo Clinic in Florida. I was present when the doctors told him he did NOT have Bell's Palsy. I was present when he died from a brain tumor.

The rudest man I have ever met my mother will never see this sorry excuse for a Dr again .. someone need to teach him some manners or better yet take his license he is in the wrong profession . I think we know what meds my mother takes since give them to her daily .

Very rude should not be practicing medicine. I would not advice anyone seeing the horrible mean person. It a shame that he treats people like dogs.

I went to dr norwoood for several reasons, one is a bad spasms in the base of my brain that is happening a lot he refused to find out why, second was for severe migraines he gave a sample of a med that worked, well my ins wouldn't cover it and instead of doing a p.a he gave me a medicine that I was allergic to and had already told him I had issues with, He called me on the phone told me he was just wasting his time and my next appointments he spent the first 5 mins yelling at me about the insurance companies cause he didn't do his job and repeatedly told me he was wasting his time on my case. Horrible bedside manner, I will never refer to him. oh and he mentioned I have tremors where im shaking and wouldn't do anything to find out why.

Find another doctor

As of last year, my husband went to a neurologist in decatur who was not Dr. Norwood, and I am not mentioning names, but we went in for a yearly checkup, and he rudely asked us why we were there. Dr Norwood took his place, and we thought he was great! He was very thorough, he gave us all of our options, and saved us money by reccomending a generic form of the medicine he was taking. A-Plus to us!
