Dr. Schock is so professional and attentive. He is patient, and explains clearly your particular questions and concerns. He has been my Orthopedic specialist for 10 years.

Dr Shock was very professional and talked to Me about other issues that I had with my knee. I was very comfortable with him and trusted him to do my surgery

After a non- productive visit to the ER with a broken lower leg just below the knee and both forearm bones at the wrist, I was told I would need to see an orthopecic surgeon. We were on our own to find one. This was around midnight, and I was to take Ibuprofen for pain. That was a very long night. The first we called could see me in 25 days at the earliest. We next called OrthoArkansas and Dr. Schock could see me the next day. What a lucky break! It has been a while since I have encountered a doctor who is as concerned about the patient's well-being as Dr. Schock. The ER had told me I had only torn muscles in my leg. Dr. Schock didn't think so and sent me directly for an MRI. Thank goodness. Both areas required metal plates for repair so surgery was scheduled. He was very careful to explain what was going to happen and why, answering any questions or addressing any concerns I had. Surgery was done as an outpatient, by my choice. During post-op visit, he made sure I understood what had… been done, since right after surgery, you really don't take in much that is said. When the time came that I could put pressure on my leg, he made sure that I had a walker available to make that an easy transition, setting up physical therapy sessions to help regain muscle that 2 months of non-use had taken away. With the help of the therapist, I am back on two feet and plan to stay away from stairs in the dark. Every step of the healing process was done with care for my injury and my personal well-being. He was very concerned and caring, treating me with dignity and respect, checking the healing progress with each visit.. I could not have asked for better care. I will recommend OrthoArkansas and Dr. Schock to anyone who has an issue with bones or joints. The entire clinic was friendly and made it a comfortable experience.

Visited Dr Schock after ER visit the day before from falling and crushing my knee cap. Surgery a few days later. Dr Schock took time to explain everything and was very personal. I read some of the bad reviews and just can’t believe this is the same dr! His PA and staff are wonderful. Highly recommend!

All was good until day of surgery, Oct 17, 2017. I went to surgery center was in the bed ready to go. Dr Schock came and spoke with the lady in the room next to me and then passed by my room and went on. Not long the lady left for her surgery. My surgery was scheduled for 9am. I didn't ever see Dr Schock again. I was asked by the anesthetist if he had been in and they were shocked that he wasn't around. Several people came in and asked and finally found out that he had left and went back to his office. (i guess he forgot about me) So they put me under and when I woke, my knee was done and Dr was gone again. Never seen Dr with my eyes that day! Moving forward one week to post op. My appt was at 8:10 am. I arrived at 8am sharp, checked in and had a seat. 8:10 am came and went...8:20am rolls around and another lady checks in and says she was there to see Dr Schock...8:30am SHE is called back. I am still sitting there. I go ask to make sure he IS THERE and woman said he was and then… couldn't give me a reason as to why I was skipped over AGAIN. So, I canceled my appt. She asked if I wanted to reschedule it and I said I did not. She made it clear that she was not about to try and find out why I was skipped either. Almost as if it wasn't her problem. So wont be going there for other knee or back problems!!!

Ayer seeing several other doctors who just looked my e-rays and said you have arthritis here's some pills I still had lots of pain. Dr Schock looked at e-rays and said he thought there might be more and did an MRI and found more and did surgery to reparr some of the damage in my knee. And relieve some of the pain. First Dr who was really concerned about my pain.

He made me feel very comfortable and treated me with respect.
