Dr. Ethelred Erasmus Carter, MD

I will never trust White Memorial or Adventist health with my healthcare again. Dr. Ethelred Carter should not be allowed to practice medicine anywhere. I was scheduled for a procedure at 10am. I was left in the waiting room for 3 hours before I was able to even speak with anyone. It was only after I complained that I was going to ask for a refund of the $200 I had to pay for this substandard care that they finally took me to the room for my procedure. When you are told to not eat for 40 hours and not even drink water for almost 20 hours in anticipation of the procedure, you're not going to feel well. When I voiced my concerns to the doctor and nurses, they said they were busy. The only person who had concern for my health was the anesthesiologist. Once again, DO NOT TRUST ETHELRED CARTER, WHITE MEMORIAL OR ADVENTIST HEALTH WITH YOUR HEALTHCARE!

I don't understand how can this office function with making appointments for Friday's s Glendale location . And not one person there no one to answer the phone. La answering service from noon should be fired or not be aloud to answer phone Glendale office not even the answering service knows about the existence of this doctor and readers to LA offices to talk to the same rude person all this started from I don't know how you can operate like this ? Dr if your too busy to manage your offices may be you should hire a office Manager and if you have one you need a new one . As far as seeing me for a patent I rather die then go true this again.

Some Doctor's graduate at the top of their class, some at the bottom, Dr Carter Had to be at the bottom! How he has made it this long with no malpractice suits is beyond me, should have retired years ago because his perfect record will be over soon. I have severe symptoms from acid reflux to the point I have to sleep n a chair, you would think I would have at least 1 prescription at my pharmacy from him, nope, he is doing zero to treat my symptoms, I doubt he has even wrote them in my records, I just go back every 6 months for an endoscopy, and beware, I was not sedated 1 bit, not fun. There are not enough baqd words to describe this horrible Dr and his staff mainly the girl that answers the phones and checks you in either has her period every day of the month or is just naturally rude and sarcastic. I will be filing a malpractice suit against this dr

ER told me I have a moderate to severe hernia, keeps me up every night, 1st endoscopy and colonoscopy done without proper sedation (I was wide awake). Told that acid is so bad it could cause cancer in esophagus but does nothing to treat problem, just bills insurance and repeats endoscopy every 6 months until it turns to cancer. I feel he is putting me at a high risk of getting cancer when I know something can be done. He told me I am in "BAD SHAPE" but still won't refer me to surgery, don't waste your time with Dr Carter. Going for 2nd opinion. He is also very late every time, last appointment was at 10 AM, procedure done at 4PM

It was a very poor customer service! Multiple clients scheduled at same time with only 1 doctor on site. I waited 3 hrs With an appointment. Air conditioning was not working and they had no seats available, so I had to stand the whole time. I do not recommend this place to anyone! Save your time & look for another one!!
