Dr. Dehoorne can be very harsh towards patients who he deems unworthy. I have seen him behave poorly towards people who are struggling and generously towards others. I was one of the lucky ones but some on the unit were demoralized by his treatment.

This man is extremely narrow minded and judgmental. He is not suited for his job.

Dr. DeHoorne has been my psychiatrist for 6 years. He saved my life back in 2009 when I was severely depressed and wanted to end my life. After 2 prior hospitalizations and 2 psychiatrists that over medicated God brought me to Chelsea Hospital and Dr. DeHoorne who saved me with ECT treatments and medication. He has always been very professional, caring and as reduced my medications as I have gotten better. I have never had depression thanks to Dr. DeHoorne.

This is a very scary doc. He is incompetent, judgmental, and over-prescribes.

Dr Dehoorne has been the best psychiatrist I have ever had. He gave me ECT when the meds alone were not working,

Dr. Dehoorne is a very professional and caring doctor. He brought me out of an incredibly horrible depression - i wasn't eating anything or doing any activities. He gave me ECT's that finally worked when meds didn't.
