Dr. Eugene H Glad, DDS

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had Dr. Glad for 6 years as a teenager for my orthodontic work and didn't see any issues; staff are friendly and not patronizing when explaining something. HOWEVER, that is no longer the case in one incident I have just experienced. I get it, dentists and orthodontists are not considered essential unless it is an emergency. I called to report a broken wire which was not immediately causing harm though was quite irritating. I was told by the person triaging calls unless it is bleeding or has a sever sore she would not be seen. My reply was "So we have to wait until it's a problem before treating it?" seems to me an honest question. However, the person must have had a rough start to her day because what ensued was a patronizing and attitude filled response for over an entire 60 seconds from how they can't open the office, she is calling from home, an extraordinary description of severe issues warranting a visit, how the state can pull their license… to practice and how everyone else breaks things and cannot be seen. I'd had enough, I am an essential worker as a social worker and do not feel the need to be spoken to in this way since I am on the front line assisting my clients to research, locate, problem solve and brain storm ways to obtain resources and get their needs met. So I interjected to suggest I did not need a lecture, have a good day, buh bye. Moral of the story? Just because you are offended by a questions doesn't mean you have to respond in an offensive manner.
