Eugene A. Grossi, MD

After much research and a battery of testing, I decided on the team of Drs. Loulmet and Grossi at NYU Langone (see Loulmet review) to perform my mitral valve repair using robotic assisted surgery. As a doctor myself, I look for the best individual surgeons and the best team. I also wanted someone I could ask any questions and get an immediate response. Dr. Grossi is among the best in the world and still made time to put me at ease with his vast knowledge, discussions of the robotic procedure and not least his fantastic sense of humor. He performed the bipass part of the open heart surgery while Dr. Loulmet repaired the valve. I was up walking the same day, out of the hospital in three days and back to work in two weeks. Miraculous! Dr. Grossi despite his busy scheduled checked on me numerous times and prescribed the appropriate follow ups and tweaked home care instructions. These guys are amazing and they are connected with the best support staff I've ever seen at the Kimmel… Pavillion. Kudos to you for getting it perfect and thank you Dr. Grossi for your expertise! Dr. Grossi assisted in my robotic valve repair at NYU. He followed up on me a few times after the surgery. Had no bedside manner, didn't listen to me and was part of a missed diagnosis.
