Dr. Eugene Matthew Kim, MD

I had a GI blockage for 9 days. I was in severe pain and my stomach was severely distended. He did not emergently take me to surgery because he had to wait to get approved for overtime. I ended up septic and in the ICU. I had to have emergency surgery and I nearly died.

Dr. Kim has done a few surgeries and every time he explains what he’ll be doing. He also checks up on me after my surgeries to make sure I’m doing fine and asks me how I’m feeling. Personally I think he’s very compassionate and is thorough. I appreciate him very much.

Dr. Kim is an angel. He saved my mother's life and we are all incredibly grateful. We appreciate his kindness, honestly and especially his knowledge throughout this process. Highly recommend.

I'm giving Dr Kim five stars. He is an excellent surgeon and I would trust them with any of his Specialties in terms of surgery. If you're looking for a best friend he's probably not the guy to go for but if you're looking for an excellent surgeon he's your guy.

Very rude staff. First time I saw him, I ended up in the ER and stayed about a week because he gave me medicine Crohn's patients aren't supposed to get. Saw him again and his office staff were incredibly rude and verbally abusive. One of them told me on the phone that if I didn't stop talking he wouldn't allow me to see Dr. Kim for my follow up. Dr. Kim didn't seem to have any problem with this when I told him. Most unprofessional medical staff I've ever experienced.

Dr. Kim is one of the good guys. He took on my case when other docs in the area said no. Very down to earth guy who will give it to you straight. I owe him my life and thank god everyday for what he did for me. I hope I don't need to ever have surgery again, but if I do, it will be with Dr. Kim.

Dr Kim performed my total colectomy in 2011. He is extremely competent with a gentle bedside manner. After my surgery, he visited me every day and sometimes two or three times a day. He was always concerned about my recovery. I would highly recommend Dr Kim and I do recommend him to my friends, neighbors and acquaintances.

There is no way around the fact that this specialty has it's "embarrassing" components. Dr. Kim made my visit extremely comfortable. He explained every detail of what would happen, before it happened. His manner is certainly professional, but it is also very caring and comforting. There are colorectal surgeons much closer to my home, as well as a fabulous hospital. However, I am choosing to see Dr. Kim, and have my procedure at his hospital - all of which are very far from my home. I trust this doctor and would recommend him to anyone looking for this type of specialist.

I never seen this kind of doctor in my life. he look nice and soft but he put me in pain. he made a surgery with out explain me how and what he is doing. he is not exam/ check colonoscopy. after surgery I had worst pain. because of the pain I went emergency hospital when I arrive the doctor he order me lidocaine hydrochloride jelly usp 2% it just give me relief but Dr kin he order me Ketorolac 10mg for pain this tablet it doesn't help to stop the pain. anyway I am not going see him for ever. when I think my pain dr kim is my pain.

This is the most organized and perfectly run doctors office i have ever seen. I feel perfectly at ease with chosing Dr. Kim to perform my colon resection. Reviews across the board on Dr. Kim are excellent. My visit for analysis of my situation was so professional and caring. I am comfortable that i have made the best choice for my surgeon and surgery.
