Dr. Eugene Phillip Paluso, MD

My father who has stage 4 esophageal cancer was 13 minutes late to his first appointment. He and my mother had hurried across country from Arizona to make sure to get into a Dr in Maine. They were moving to Maine and had sent all of the forms and information necessary. My father needed an oncologist referral asap but the dr refused to see him. The nurse said the policy is if someone is 10 minutes late they have to make another appointment. My father now has to wait another two weeks if he wants to see dr Paluso in the mean time cancer is spreading. All he needed was a referral to a specialist. There was no compassion from the male staff member who was pompous and seemed to have some sort of power trip. My parents did not have the strength to push the fact that they needed to be seen right away. No compassion was shown to my parents. My mother was also going to see Dr Paluso because she was just diagnosed with breast cancer and also needs to be seen asap. My parents will have to go to… the emergency room for referals because they do not have time to wait 2 weeks to see dr Paluso and then another week or two for a specialist
