Dr. Eun Joo Oh, MD

What I like most about Dr. Oh is the fact that she practices preventive medicine. Not just treating your current problems, but deciphering what is going on in your body that might be cause for serious concerns, and identifying the steps needed to prevent bad things from happening.

I’ve been with Dr. Oh for many years, from long before they changed to a concierge model. I love her, she truly listens to my concerns and explains things. I have a lot of health issues and she is aggressive at getting to the bottom of them. When an office she had referred me to wasn’t up to snuff due to recent changes she stopped referring patients there. I think she’s in it for the patients and truly cares. Is the office perfect? Of course not, every health office I’ve ever been to has a few snafus, but in general they are quite good and since changing to a concierge model the level of service is excellent. I also read the negative reviews on here, and was surprised it seemed none of them had actually followed up with her. For example I’ve had labs totally screw up and run the wrong test set or hospitals bill for work that wasn’t done. I’d guess the review with an extra lab that wasn’t shared was a billing error, which is why there were no results. The American medical… system is a mess, easily the worst in any first world country (if you don’t believe me let’s discuss global infant mortality rates!), but I feel with Dr Oh I am in great shape. They have helped with very difficult insurance approvals, MRI imaging approvals, etc. I truly recommend her unreservedly.

Very attentive, spends quality time with patients. Dr. Oh truly cares about her patients and it shows.

Very disappointed in not phoning back on a phone call made at 9:30am and then again at 3pm. My phone call related to my husband being taken to emergency unit at Oro Valley. Needless to say the response from Dr. Oh's office and staff were not satisfactory. I think I need to change physicians.

I love Dr. Oh! As an established patient they can get me in almost right away every time. There is a bit of a wait once you are in a room, but nothing ridiculous. Dr. Oh has the best bedside manner of any doctor I have seen. She spends time, I don't feel rushed and I am grateful I found her. Her staff is wonderful as well.

Doctor has a practice of charging an additional office visit during annual physicals; has happened for the past 4 annual physicals for me and my husband. Both doctors in this practice create a rationale that in their minds justifies an additional charge, but really is within the scope of a physical. We're much happier we are with another physician!

She ran unnecessary test & didn't tell me that she was doing it. She gave me all test results except the one she didn't tell me about. Only found out when I received a lab bill. Horrified when I found out what she was testing for. Didn't make any sense to me so I called to talk to her. I was told she never talks to her patients by phone. Was told I would have to again come in to see her & pay for yet another office visit. It didn't matter that I was really upset that this test was done period & also I was concerned that if my insurance company saw this erroneous test that it could effect my insurance coverage. Plus I already saw her for my test results & paid for it.

Despite advertising that same day appointments are available, you will wait at least 3 weeks for an appointment. Even established patients; there is no wiggle room in Dr Oh's scheduling. Her waiting room is packed and I wonder if she is double booked. I have had three appointments and waited more than one hour each time. The doctor is pleasant and obviously caring but I can't spend 2 hours at her office every time I need to see her.

She listens; she cares/empathizes; she's very knowledgeable in her field; and she's thorough in all her tests. She also gives great advice and suggestions to improve your health.
