Dr. Evan Curt Allen, MD

Dr. Allen rarely sees his patients in person at Total Care Family Practice. I was only "gifted" the courtesy of a Telehealth call once, on which he sounded inconvenienced. In addition to his poor manner, his front desk staff are completely unprofessional and inept. The biggest issue is lack of communication and complete unprofessionalism from the front desk employees. They rarely answer the phone. They do not return voicemails in a timely manner if at all. They wait days to follow up on online appt requests. I wonder why they have an online scheduling system if they do not actually use it. Their version of scheduling through their system is they will email you that the request has been sent. Then, days later they will call you. If you are not available at that moment, be ready to wait days longer to reach them because when you immediately call them back, they forward you to voicemail. I don't even know when they check voicemail because this last experience, they did not call me back… until I emailed the scheduling email again! Then one of the schedulers called me back, acted like she could not hear me all of the sudden in the middle of our conversation, and hung up. What a game they play. I have been waiting to hear back for days! Now they won't answer the phone again. This is not even the first time this has happend. So unprofessional. Total Care - no it isn't! It isn't care at all. Also, there have been a couple times where they completely forgot that I was waiting for service after they told me to go sit in the seating area. Looks like I will be seeking a new PCP. This place is a joke.

Not going there anymore, no Medical Doctor, just PA.

Had to leave this clinic even though few employees are nice. They made me come twice to the clinic and "BILLED ME TWICE" for the same issue.

My whole family goes to Dr. Allen. We feel Dr Allen is a great doctor. He and his staff and PA's really care about their patients and always take the time to throughly explain everything to us. We are very happy with the excellent service we receive at this office.

He looks so fat and unhealthy...

Not happy at all. I've taken a specific medication for over 20 years and they want me to come in every 6 months to have it refilled. I could understand once per year but this is absolutely ridiculous. Also, I had an X ray on my hand roughly 6 months ago because I had fallen. They made me come in to get the results (a cyst in the palm of my hand which had likely been there for life). I have never once met the Doctor and am firing this office. I would like to also sue for Malpractice because it is obvious all they care about is money. I can't take that much time off work to constantly go do office visits and refuse to!

The Drs approach was very abrasive. When I explained that I had found difficulty in losing my excess fat he told me I was not trying hard enough and should eat less and exercise more. I told him my joints hurt when I walk and he started shouting about how he had also found weight loss difficult, but had succeeded even though he still looked to be obese. He advised me if I did not want to die at a young age I should take statins they could save my life. I left his office and would never go back again. Stay away from this Dr at all costs.
