Dr. Evan N Berman, MD

I first met Dr. Berman at the Emergency Room at Forest Hills Hospital LIJ. I was in extreme abdominal pain. He came over to my stretcher and was totally dismissive of my pain and concerns. He asked me where I lived and what I did for a living which had absolutely no relevance to my urgent medical needs. I am a used car dealer and he proceeded to make fun of my profession. I just didn't understand what he found so amusing. He was totally unprofessional. I later conducted my own research and found out that he has terrible ratings. He obtained his medical degree from the Universida Autonoma De Guadalajara in Mexico. I don't know why he is even affiliated with North Shore LIJ. Horrible experience. If you want compassionate medical care avoid EL Doctor Berman from the University of Guadalajara Medical School. I am further communicating my concerns to North Shore LIJ.

I went to see Dr Berman, because I was in a lot of pain and I was impressed how careful he was with the examination not to hurt me. He had a lot of pacience with me, because I am a patient that I can be really annoying when I am in pain. He told me that I didn't need surgery and prescribed an oitment that after three visits I was completely healed and with no pain. I think that Dr Berman is a sweet, friendly and funny person and I am glad to recommend to other people. Thanks so much.

After waiting to see Dr. Bermain for 45+ minutes, I sat in the medical exam room for 20 minutes and when he finally walked in the examination was less than a minute. He asked what why I was there, didn't wear gloves (didn't wash his hands before touching me), just slightly touched my back and then washed his hands and ordered me to his office. Once at his office, he was entertained by his iPad. When he was done with it, he simply looked up and told me that he didn't know why I was referred to him. I asked him what did he do; he didn't answer the question. He then said that I was "morbidly obese" when he didn't even have my medical history or did not weight me. When I told him that (and that he wasn't exactly skinny), he dimply ordered me out of his office and screamed down the hall to not come back.It had been the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. Also, I hate the fact that my insurance has to pay for a visit that wasn't accurately performed by Dr. Berman.
