Dr. Evan Paul Graber, PhD

He doesn't have a clue - DO NOT choose him as your counsellor or therapist. My husband and I went to him for couples counselling. Something was terribly wrong with our marriage, and I desperately wanted our loving relationship back. Graber understood none of the issues I had, told me there was nothing wrong with our marriage, and that he couldn't see what I was asking for. He thought my husband was kind and respectful to me. After more than a year, he told us he would stop seeing us because there was nothing he could do for us since we had a good marriage, better than most. I was crushed, and felt gaslit, because there was clearly pain and hurt on my end, and he simply didn't believe there was any reason for me to feel that way. He said I was overly emotional and asking for too much. He even shamed me for pulling away from my husband physically. Within a year, I found out that my husband had been cheating on me for years, flirting, texting, sexting, and having full-blown… affairs with numerous females. He had been doing this, with anyone he could groom to whatever type of inappropriate relationship he could for over six years. He was a serial cheater. Thanks Evan, for doubling down on my husband's gaslighting, and making me feel even more crazy and worthless than I had felt BEFORE we started to see him. He's a mysogynistic fool, please look elsewhere for counselling!

Evan listens really well, and he gives excellent feedback, especially if you're feeling stressed about something. He's really supportive for short term therapy (my experience with him). He's also good at keeping focused on what needs to be dealt with, so I found it to be a good use of time spent. Has given new insights about coping with serious stress.

Dr. Graber was wonderful to my son and I. He scheduled us on Saturdays to accommodate my work schedule. He listened to my sons concerns, worked with us both, and worked with my sons school (after signing a consent form). We absolutely loved him. I missed an appointment or 2 on our scheduled Saturday and Dr. Graber was quite understating and forgiving. We had left his practice after some time, but a few years later had found ourselves in need of therapy. We called Dr Graber and within a few days he had us back in and on his schedule. Stating he always takes back and welcomes past patients. Which was a relive and a breath of fresh air.

Awful as a therapist –old-school machismo who carries his biases into the sessions and exercises very poor judgment. I feel sorry for anyone seriously mentally impaired who happens to come his way. He is the kind of mental health professional who makes life more difficult for people trying to cope with disabilities. When I cried in his office – of all places, somewhere where I thought it was safe to do so without being judged - he responded with anger.
