Dr. Matros is an expert in his field . He is so talented , but is also kind and compassionate. He’s NUMBER 1 in my book . I’ve been thriving thanks to him !

I don’t write reviews often but feel compelled to write one about Dr. Matros. He is immensely talented, brilliant and accomplished yet the most down to Earth humble doctor you could imagine. He makes the difficult journey of breast cancer and breast reconstruction much more bearable. He is kind, caring and compassionate. I trusted him implicitly from the moment I met him and truly felt at ease in his skilled hands. His credentials are unmatched and backed up by skilled work. He sets realistic expectations and takes the time to explain options, outcomes and the process. I don’t think any other surgeon would have been able to achieve the outcome I had. I recommend him without hesitation.

From the beginning of my cancer journey, Dr. Matros has been available to me to answer all my questions. Initially, he called me at home so that we could talk through a course of action. He saw me through the dark days. His kindness is genuine. Now that I have gotten through the worst of it, he celebrates with me. 5 Stars

Dr. Matros performed a revision of a breast reconstruction, and I couldn't be happier. Following a mastectomy, I had my initial reconstruction done by a well-known breast surgeon at another leading New York City medical center, and the results were less than optimal. I decided to seek another opinion with Dr. Matros. While he was modest and realistic about improving upon my previous surgery, I felt optimistic that he could. From the moment the bandages came off, I was amazed at the aesthetic improvement! Seven months later, I am delighted that I sought a second surgery with Dr. Matros. From my initial pre-op consultation, through surgery and post-op visits, Dr. Matros is consistently attentive, meticulous and thorough. I couldn't have asked for a better surgical outcome. Moreover, he is personable and compassionate. As an RN for over 40 years, I have been privileged to work with many fine physicians. But Dr. Matros is the best of the best. He has done so much to mitigate the physical… and emotional distress of a mastectomy, and I am most grateful to him.

Amazingly talented and caring. Not only focuses on the physical but is also concerned with how you are doing emotionally while going through the reconstruction process. Today was my final procedure (8 days shy of a year since the mastectomy) and I couldn't be happier.

Dr Matros is just simply the best there is. He's an absolutely amazing plastic surgeon (he did reconstruction following a double mastectomy) and it turned out so well! And through the entire process (a year and a half!) he became my comfort and confidante. He is smart, caring, and thorough, and I would say that is most important with a doctor. But, he also has just amazing bedside manner and will give you as much time as you could hope for. I am so grateful to have found him.
